All for the love of scrapbooking..
I don’t do cold well, when it snowed last year the ONLY reason I took Carter out (other than being a really fun mum) was to get pictures ........ ssshhh. So again the ONLY reason we went to diggerland / http://www.thesnowpark.co.uk/ was so the kids could have loads of fun . . . I mean to get pictures.
All joking aside if it had not been so bitterly cold I mean GOSH are we insane cold to not be inside on the chilly day, you could have tons of fun there take a few older children or the DH's to do all the running up the slope etc while you stand at the bottom and get the pictures..
It really was a mission and we ended up on the snow for a MAXIUM of ten minutes TOPS.
Let me start from the very beginning - So we can either blame Artbase or my mum . .
The February crop at artbase was a lovely bo-bunny envelope book with the theme of Baby its cold outside for the perfect book snow pictures would be ideal as we all know Terrie (darling) does not have any snow pictures . . My mum knew this you see and the evening before the crop happened to come across an advert for snow park.
Just so happens the kids here are on half term so a trip to snow park was arranged for Friday.
Friday arrived and the plan was for Terrie and Sharon to be round to me for 10.30. Well Terrie's car broke down still we were going to still go a replacement car was to be with us in the hour but then that got a puncture ... We admitted defeat after all we all had a party to go to at 4 that afternoon and thought it would be to much of a rush. So we decided to go to Play Utopia, bad idea Sharon got there to find the whole of Basildon had the same idea, stressed and in need of some tea Sharon Came here, meanwhile Terrie is still waiting for the replacement car she sounds (better not swear) unimpressed.
Cut along story short we go to the party still a nice day just not to plan.
Decide Tuesday would be a better day to go anyway.
Tuesday comes Sharon cant make today, Terrie manages to get here no problems before we go Ty decides to have a bottle get changed I forget map so we go home to get it (getting in from back door as I cant find key). Don’t really pay to much attention to said map and get lost while we are lost the sun shines the rain starts and so does the . . .wait for it SNOW. We arrive its COLD did I mention that they want to charge us to get in ... we so are not playing in the snow we just want PICTURES get in for bargain price of £10 per family rather than £15. Not bad £1 per minute on the snow or the average price for a sitting fee at a photo studio!!
After climbing to the top of the slope Carter and Skylar decide they dont want to go on the rubber ring so we get blown down the hill with snow being blown at us . . i decide to take shelter i the cafe and the rest follow 2 minutes later, so while Terrie and I have tea and hot chocolate the kids have ice cream ... go figure.
We decide we must to artbase on our way home to get supplies to go with the pictures ( or did we decide this before we left..)

oh my heck.
I'm ROFL here...
You guys should just pack up and come here for snow shots. No cover charge, no running up hill in my yard, plenty of hot chocolate (or ice cream)...just lose the skirts ;o)
